Humberto Delgado Airport, still widely known as Portela, is the largest airport in Portugal and a strategic point for European aviation, being the most westerly airport in Europe. It receives around 14 million passengers a year and sits about 7 km from the centre of Lisbon.

How the meeting point works
Reception at Lisbon Airport takes place in the arrivals hall, at the meeting point next to the Vodafone store. As soon as possible after disembarking, or while collecting your baggage, you should telephone AUTOPORTRENT to confirm your arrival and the meeting with our representative at the meeting point in the arrivals hall.
Customers are advised to switch on the mobile phone whose number was given in the reservation as quickly as possible after disembarking. That is the number our representative will call.
From the airport to the car
You are then driven to the AUTOPORTRENT Lisbon – Entrecampos station, where you collect the vehicle. The return works the same way in reverse: the vehicle is returned at the Entrecampos station, after which you are driven back to Lisbon Airport.
The shuttle station operates Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 18:45, and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 18:45. Outside those hours an out-of-hours service is available with prior reservation, Monday to Sunday, from 00:00 to 08:59 and from 18:46 to 23:59.
What to have ready
- Your reservation voucher, which is the confirmation email we send after payment.
- Your original driving licence, held for at least two years.
- Your original identification: citizen card or passport for EU citizens, passport for non-EU citizens.
- A physical credit card in the main driver's name, with enough available balance for the security deposit.
Copies are not accepted, and neither are virtual, prepaid or top-up cards for the deposit. If a document is missing we cannot hand over the vehicle, and the booking is treated as a No Show.
If you would rather not come to us at all
Our DLV service delivers or collects the vehicle away from our counters, at your hotel or another address, for 24,60€ per movement within 20 km of the nearest station, plus 0,50€ per kilometre beyond that. There is also a dedicated airport delivery and collection service, TAPT, at 24,60€ per contract. Both are subject to prior booking and limited availability.
